We Should All Be Feminists Review

I received this short story as am e-proof through NetGalley.

Thank you very much!

A strong female voice, speaking up about gender issues today.

Whilst Ms Adichie embeds her thoughts in Nigerian culture, her home culture, they hold true for any other culture too. Even though some issues we have aren’t as obvious as women not being greeted when entering a restaurant, or not being granted entrance when alone, it doesn’t mean we’re not up against the same problems of masculinity and femininity, and all our issues on gender are always grounded in our up-bringing and history.

I can’t wait to hear Ms Adichie’s Ted Talk on the subject and sincerely hope that her short story finds lots of ears and makes people think, men and women alike. We can all do something to change the way we think. It’s not a problem we women face alone and certainly not one we can change alone.
